The Importance of Tyre Tread
Your tyres are the only contact between your vehicle and the road, making tread crucial for safety. Worn-down tread reduces grip, increases stopping distances, and heightens the risk of skidding—especially in wet conditions. Keep your tyres in check, and drive with confidence knowing your grip won’t let you down.

Can you check my tyres?
We get asked this question a lot, and it’s something every driver should know! We’re always happy to check your tyre size for you, but if you’re looking for an online tyre quote, the best place to find the information is right on the sidewall of your tyre.
While some online tools use your registration number to estimate your tyre size, they often show multiple options, which can lead to confusion. If you’re using Click & Reserve, selecting the wrong size is easy to do—but knowing where to find the exact size on your tyre ensures you get the right fit every time.

When looking for new tyres, the most important thing to know is your tyre size. This includes the tyre width, aspect ratio, and wheel diameter. You’ll also need to check your load rating and speed rating to ensure you get the right tyre for your vehicle.
It might seem a bit complicated at first, but once you know what you’re looking for, it’s easy!
To find the correct tyre size, take a look at the sidewall of your tyre. You’re looking for a 7-digit number with an ‘R’ after the first five digits—something like 175/65R14 82T, 205/55R16 91W, 225/45R17 94W, or 225/40R18 92Y. There are loads of combinations, so checking your tyres directly ensures you get the perfect fit.
Some vehicles, like BMWs, Mercedes, and Smart Cars, have different-sized tyres on the rear, so it’s always worth checking both.
